THE WEDDING
Bethany and Taylor married at Oldfield, a waterfront club community on the South Carolina Lowcountry, on May 24, 2025. The design direction was coastal South Carolina done with blue and white block-print linens, wicker and rattan accents, dusty blue florals, and a nautical thread that ran through every touchpoint. The challenge was carrying that same visual language from the first piece guests opened in the mail through to a custom-built seating chart installation on the lawn, keeping every element in the same story without repeating the same trick twice.
THE WORK
Full invitation suite — die-cut wavy wrap with sailboat charm closure, scalloped details insert, floral-lined envelope, slate RSVP cards, and printed guest addressing.
Sailboat bar sign — drink menu printed directly on the sail, with the couple’s monogram and wedding date on the hull. The same monogram from the invitation suite carried onto the bar.
Seating chart sailboats — each table's guest list printed on an individual model sailboat, displayed across two tiered shelves on the custom-built wall.
Place setting — die-cut scalloped menu with floral watermark and monogram, tented place card with sailboat detail, on blue floral block-print linen with gold flatware.
Wicker bar sign — die-cut banner detail with drink categories, same wicker texture carried through to the table numbers at each place setting.
Table numbers — wicker-textured layered design on acrylic stand, echoing the bar sign and rattan accents used throughout the tent.
Reception under a sailcloth tent at Oldfield. Every paper piece on the table — menu, place card, table number — designed from the same visual direction as the invitation suite.
Guests finding their tables. The seating chart wall held seven sailboats across two shelves, each carrying one table's guest list printed on its sail.
